DUSAG announces 2025 executive committee

The Dhaka University Students' Association of Ghatail upazila (DUSAG) has announced its executive committee for 2025, with Abrar Harun as newly elected president and Masud Rana as general secretary.

The committee’s approval was confirmed in an official statement signed by Ashikur Ranman and Imran Hossain on behalf of all conveners on Saturday (March 22).

Abrar Harun, a student of Islamic History and Culture from 2021-22 academic session. Meanwhile, Masud Rana, also from same department and same academic year.

Expressing his vision, Harun emphasised, ''As the newly elected President of the Dhaka University Students' Association of Ghatail, I would first like to express my gratitude and thanks to all the advisors, organizing committee members, and all the members for entrusting me with such an important position.''

He mentioned that he hoped to increase dynamism of the organization and, at the same time, make it more known and recognized among everyone at Dhaka University.

He further said that he would work towards overall development of the organization and strive to fulfill hopes and expectations that the members had from it.

He also added that they would work with school and college students from Ghatail to ensure that more students from Ghatail could enroll at Dhaka University every year.

Newly elected secretary Masud said, ''I will coordinate effectively with all members to make the organization more dynamic. There will be regular events organized by the organization on various occasions or special days. I will maintain communication between all members and the alumni, as well as senior brothers and sisters.''

He also added that if anyone faces any problems, the organization will provide maximum support. Additionally, there will be motivational campaigns among the students of the area for higher education.

With this new leadership, DUSAG aims to strengthen its role in supporting and empowering students from Ghatail upazila at Dhaka University.
