New fire erupts in Sundarbans, Forest Department monitoring with drones

New fires erupted in Gulishakhali Bon Tohol Fari area of the Sundarbans, one kilometer away from Chandpai Range's Kalamteji where the earlier blaze was brought under control.

Smoke was found inside the forest around 11:30AM.

The Forest Department has been monitoring the spot with drones and has already left for the fireplace. Fire Service members are also heading towards the fire spot.

The new fire found at Shaplar Beeil area, seven kilometers away from Kalamteji Camp Tepar Beel area where the blaze originated on Saturday.
