Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) won the title of BRAC Bank Development Cup Women's Hockey beating Kishoreganj district by 8-0 goals at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.
Skipper Arpita Paul opened BKSP's account in the eighth minute, and Irin Akter Riya doubled the lead just three minutes later. Jakia Afroz Lima further netted the third goal in the 14th minute.
Adding second goal in 18th minute, Arpita continued her stellar performance. Then, Tonni Khatun scored the fifth goal in the 22nd minute.
Maintaining BKSP's relentless attack, Riya struck again in the 42nd minute, pushing the score to six. She completed her hat-trick in the 50th minute.
Arpita also completed her own hat-trick by sealing BKSP's eighth goal in the 56th minute.
Fardia Akter Ratri of Kishoreganj district was adjudged the best player of the competition while Arpita Paul of BKSP emerged as the highest scorer (30 goals).
Earlier, Jashore district finished in third position defeating Rajshahi district by 4-0 goals in the place-deciding encounter also held at the same venue.
