KHULNA, Mar 22: Police arrested a ‘terrorist’ along with arms and ammunition from Khalishpur area in the city on Friday night.
Deputy Metropolitan Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Abul Bashar Mohammad Atiqur Rahman confirmed this information on Saturday.
As part of the regular drives to arrest terrorists, illegal armed men, snatchers and members of 'Kishor Gang' for ensuring smooth Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, police arrested terrorist Hasan Howlader, he added.
He said, a KMP team went on a drive on Friday night in Goalkhali main road area in Khalishpur Police Station (PS) in the city and arrested terrorist Hasan Howlader from a teen shade residence.
Police seized a pistol loaded with four rounds of bullet, 24 rounds of live bullets of a pistol and shot gun from his possession, he added.
A case was filed with Khalishpur PS in this connection. He is a criminal in another case filed with Dighalia PS.
