Man stabbed dead in Mirpur

A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by some miscreants at Mirpur in Dhaka on Friday night.

The incident took place around 7:45 PM at Pallabi Journalist Plot no-3 near WAPDA building.
The deceased was identified as Selim, 35.

According to locals, Selim used to reside in a rented house at Mirpur 12-E Block with his family. A group of miscreants stabbed Selim with lethal weapons over drug related dispute, leaving him seriously injured on the spot.

Hearing his screams, locals rescued him from the spot and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him upon arrival.

Being informed, a team of police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital moruge for a post-mortem examination, said Pallabi Police Station officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam said.

Police were looking into the matter, the OC added.
