KUSHTIA, Mar 21: Students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia brought out a protest march against the Israeli occupation and genocide in Gaza.
The agitating students gathered in front of the university's central mosque after Jummah prayers on Friday. Later, in a procession, they paraded important roads on the campus.
During the procession, the protesters chanted various slogans such as 'Palestine er karone, bhoy korina morone' (We're not afraid of deaths for the sake of Palestine) and 'Badar er hatiyaar, gorje uthok arekbar' (Let the weapons of the Battle of Badr revive again) etc.
Following the protest march, they demonstrators held a brief rally in front of the administrative building.
Islami Chhatra Andolon's IU unit President Ismail Hossain Rahat, Anti-discrimination Student Movement Co-coordinator Nahid Hasan, Islami Chhatra Shibir's IU branch Secretary General Yousuf Ali and Coordinator SM Sweet addressed the rally, among others. �"BSS
