Protest erupts at RU demanding ban on AL

Students of Rajshahi University (RU) staged a demonstration by forming a protest march demanding ban on the Awami League at the university’s Central Mosque on Friday.

They brought out a rally from in front of the university's main entrance around 2:00 PM. The rally ended at Talaimari intersection after parading main streets of the campus.
Over two hundred students from various educational institutions joined the rally.

Students, during the event, chanted different slogans, including "Awami League must be banned".

Addressing the rally, the speakers demanded that Awami League must be banned, comparing it to the Nazi Party due to their activities during the July Mass Uprising.
