Abducted girl rescued in N'ganj

NARAYANGANJ, Mar 21: Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) rescued an abducted madrasa girl from the house of the accused in Sonargaon Upazila of the district.

The victim, 16, was rescued from the house of the main accused Shaheen Mirza, 42, in Pirojpur Village of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

Superintendent of Narayanganj PBI MD Mostofa Kamal confirmed the matter in a press release on Thursday.

According to the press release, the victim was abducted on February 10 from in front of an educational institution in Sonargaon.

The victim's father lodged a case against Shaheen Mirza and four to five unknown others with a court in this regard.
Later on, the court directed PBI to investigate the case.
