Youth killed in Barishal road mishap

A youth was killed when a passenger bus hit his motorcycle at Babuganj upazila in Barishal district on Friday.

The accident took place at Rohomatpur bus stand area on the Dhaka-Barishal highway in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sajib, 23.

According to locals, a Barguna bound passenger bus hit a motorcycle at Rohomatpur bus stand area, leaving two from the motorcycle critically injured.

Locals recued them and took to a nearby hospital, where on-duty doctor declared Sajib dead.

Confirming the incident Barishal Metropolitan Police's Airport station officer-in-charge (OC) Jakir Hossain Shikder said that a team police seized the bus involved in the accident and apprehended the bus driver.

Legal actions will be taken in this regard, the OC added.
