Inquilab Mancha's spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi said that if an election is held with the Awami League, a bloodbath will sweep the country.

He warned of severe unrest if the Awami League (AL) participated in the country’s elections.

Protest unfolded in front of Dhaka University’s (DU) Central Mosque on Thursday (March 21) as he declared this before a large crowd gathered after Jumu'ah prayers.

The demonstration, held to denounce Israeli attacks in Gaza, saw participation from multiple organisations, including Inquilab Mancha, with protestors marching and chanting slogans. The event reflected a blend of local political discontent and global solidarity with Palestine.

Hadi reinforced his stance against the ruling party, stating, "As long as we have even a drop of blood in our veins, we will not allow the rehabilitation of the Awami League."

He also turned his attention to BNP and Jamaat, questioning their silence on banning the Awami League.

"Why have you not answered the question of banning the Awami League? We will not leave the streets until the Awami League is banned," he asserted, adding a sharper political edge to the demonstration.

Criticism of regional politics also surfaced, with Hadi branding India as the 'Asian Israel' ; a phrase that resonated with the gathering, drawing cheers and chants.

His comments reflected growing anti-Indian sentiments among certain political factions in Bangladesh, particularly in relation to India's ties with the Awami League.

Echoing the protest’s international focus, Md. Imran, convener of Azad Palestine Muslim, urged a united front against global oppression.

"Let everyone around the world unite in a movement to protect our Palestinian brothers. We must resist extremist Hindutva and Zionism," he proclaimed, linking Hindutva politics in India and Zionism in Israel as common threats to the Muslim world.

The protest highlighted the intersection of domestic political struggles and global conflicts, with participants not only demanding change in Bangladesh but also expressing solidarity with Palestine. With strong rhetoric and mounting political pressure, tensions appear to be rising in both national and international spheres.
