Youth shot dead in city's Gulshan

A young man was shot to death by unidentified assailants near Gulshan Police Plaza in Dhaka on Thursday night.

The victim, identified as Sumon, 35, an internet business owner, was critically injured in the attack, which occurred between 8:30 PM and 9 PM.
Police found him on the north side of the road, near Police Plaza, and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Sumon was declared dead at 11 PM.

Sumon had previously lived in the TV Gate area but was currently residing in Bhashantek. His father's name is Mahfuzur Rahman.

He sustained gunshot wounds to his head and the left side of his chest. His body has been kept in the hospital morgue for further examination.

The motive for the killing and the identity of the attackers remain unclear. Police are conducting an investigation and are in the process of contacting Sumon’s relatives.
