The injured individuals are Monir Biswas and Mamun Sarder, both are BNP activists.
Monir Biswas, Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Swechhasebak Dal upazila unit, stated that the attack occurred at Batajore Banik Somiti office around 11 PM when Khokon Fakir had been preventing them from purchasing tender documents for the lease of Batajore market.
When they tried to purchase the tender documents despite his obstruction, a verbal altercation ensued.
Later, Khokon and his associates called him and Jubo Dal leader Mamun Sardar to the spot under pretext of resolving the issue.
