Banks ordered to pay March salaries by 23

Bangladesh Bank has instructed all banks to ensure the payment of salaries and allowances for March 2025 by March 23.

This directive also applies to the disbursement of retirement allowances for pensioners. In line with the official calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr is anticipated to be observed on March 31, 2025, depending on moon sighting.
To accommodate the upcoming holiday, the government has decided to release the March salaries and allowances on March 23 for all government, semi-government, and autonomous institution employees, including both gazetted and non-gazetted officers, military personnel (both commissioned and non-commissioned), and retired pensioners.
