Govt announces 9-day holiday for Eid

The government has declared April 3, 2025, a general holiday via an executive order to facilitate a smooth travel experience for holidaymakers during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, said, "An executive order has been issued declaring April 3, 2025, a general holiday to ensure the smooth movement of people during the holy Eid-ul-Fitr."
This decision was made during a meeting of the council of advisers at the Chief Adviser's Office (CAO) today.
