Jagannath University has lost one of its brightest students, Naimur Rahman Shimanto, who died at 5am on Tuesday.

He was undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology (NIKDU).

Shimanto was a fourth-year student in the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at Jagannath University. He had been battling kidney complications for a long time.

His classmates remember him as an exceptionally talented, warm-hearted, and sociable individual. "He was not only brilliant in academics but also a wonderful friend who always spread positivity," one of his friends shared.
