The holy month of Ramadan holds immense spiritual significance, with each of its 30 days offering unique virtues and blessings. As part of our daily Ramadan series, today we highlight the virtue and supplication (dua) associated with the 16th fast.
According to Hadith, fasting on the 16th day of Ramadan brings the special reward of being granted freedom from Hell and permission to enter Paradise. This immense blessing reflects the mercy of Allah upon His devoted worshippers.
The following supplication (dua) for the 16th fast of Ramadan is recorded in the books Al-Baladul Amin and Misbahul Kaf'ami, as narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recited this dua during the month of Ramadan:
Translation: “O Allah! Grant me the ability to associate with the righteous on this day. Keep me away from the company of the wicked. By Your divine power, I beseech You to grant me a place in Your merciful paradise. O Lord of all worlds!”
May this day of fasting bring spiritual rewards and strengthen our connection with Allah.
