A man was killed after being rammed by a a truck in Gazipur's Sadar upazila on Sunday noon.
The
deceased was identified as Suman Kumar Sutradhar, 35, son of Sri Jiban
Chandra Sutradhar, hailing from Haturia Beramara area under Jagannathpur
upazila in Pabna district.
He was working at a branch of Palli Mangal NGO located in Bagher Bazar under Gazipur Sadar upazila.
The accident occurred near Bagher Bazar area in Gazipur Sadar upazila.

Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Azizul Haque said "Suman
Kumar was riding a motorcycle heading towards Mawna Chourasta in Sripur.
When he reached the Bagher Bazar area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, a
speeding truck ran over him, leaving his dead on the scene. Upon
receiving information, police recovered the body."
The Police
Station Officer-in-Charge Saleh Ahmad said, "The body has been sent to
Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for
autopsy. Legal action would be taken in this regard."
