Sheffield United star Hamza Dewan Chowdhury arrived in the country on Monday.
Around 11:45AM,Hamza, accompanied by his family members, landed at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.
Now, he is heading towards his ancestral village Snanghat of Bahubal upazila in Habiganj.
Excited fans gathered at the airport to welcome Hamza. His father Dewan Morshed Choudhury was also there to receive him.
Earlier around 2AM, Hamza Chowdhury left Manchester, UK for Sylhet.
This time, Hamza is here to represent the Bangladesh national football team.
He will schedule to come to Dhaka on Tuesday to join the Bangladesh football team camp ahead of the Asian Cup Qualifiers against India in Shillong on March 25.
The full squad of the Bangladesh national team, including Hamza Chowdhury, is expected to have their final practice session on Wednesday afternoon or evening, following the team’s official photo session.
His arrival has sparked celebrations across the Sylhet district, particularly in his hometown.
