Metro rail staffers have went on a strike from early Monday allegedly for an attack on some of their fellows by a group of MRT police.
But trains are running as per schedule.
Meanwhile, sale of one-way tickets was stopped on Monday morning due to lack of staff, allowing passengers to a free ride.
The stairs and collapsible gate at the entrance to the escalator at Mirpur -10 Station were found locked at 7AM on Monday.
Staff members of the metro rail alleged that some MRT police beat up some of their colleagues on Sunday and they announced a work abstention at an early hours.
Passengers take free ride at some stations due to lack of staffers.
But a metro rail staffer said, "We have withdrawn our protest after our top authorities assured us about taking proper action against the responsible persons. The staffers are joining their respective duties."
The ticket counters at some stations are found closed. No staff was seen there.
