Independence Day parade to be held in 63 districts, just not in Dhaka

Contrary to recent reports, the Independence Day parade will indeed be held on March 26, but not in Dhaka due to ongoing renovation work at the National Stadium.

The Chief Adviser's Press Wing clarified this in a statement on Sunday night, refuting claims that the parade had been canceled entirely.

Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder stated that while the parade cannot be held in Dhaka this year, it will be organized with due dignity in the remaining 63 districts across the country. The interim government has also decided to honor freedom fighters during these events.

District administrations have been instructed to take necessary measures to ensure the successful organization of the parades and ceremonies. This decision reflects the government's commitment to celebrating Independence Day with the respect and honor it deserves, despite logistical challenges in the capital.
