Wish for speedy execution of the verdict, says Abrar's father

BUET students Abrar Fahad's father Mohammad Barkat Ullah has expressed his satisfaction over the judgment of the High Court.

"I am satisfied with this verdict. Now wish for the swift completion of the process to execute the verdict."

In an instant reaction to the judgement, Mohammad Barkat Ullah said this to the media.

"I urge the students not to engage in bad politics," he added.

Earlier today, the High Court bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain upheld the death sentence of 20 BUET students and life imprisonment of the five others in Abrar Fahad murder case.
Attorney general Md Asaduzzaman, deputy attorney generals KB Rumi, Johirul Islam Sumon and Nur Mohammad Azmi, and assistant attorney generals Barrister Sumaiya Aziz were present during announcement of the judgment.
