Teacher held over molesting 2 students in Jamalpur

Joint forces have detained an accused teacher on charge of molesting two students at Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur district.

The arrested is Bajlur Rahman, 30.

Citing the locals, police sources said that the accused Bajlur reportedly molested two students, 9 and 10 years old, for a long time. However, the 10 year old became ill recently which made suspicion of abusing them.
Later on Saturday evening, locals besieged the institution and locked the teacher into a room for around three hours. At one stage on information, joint forces rushed to the scene and detained the accused.

District Superintendent of Police Yahya Al Mamun confirmed the detention and said that further legal actions would be taken upon receiving complaints in this regard.
