A man named Suman has been sent to jail for allegedly stealing the shoes of a Dhaka judge.

The incident happened at the mosque of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court, where Judge Md. Rezaul Karim of Special Judge Court-10 was offering Friday prayers.

After the prayer, he found his shoes, worth Tk 1,850, missing. Worshippers later caught Suman with the stolen shoes and handed him over to Kotwali police.

Following a case filed by court stenographer Russell Mia, police produced Suman before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, which ordered his detention.
