Police arrested seven suspected robbers along with lethal weapons from different places of Shahjadpur upazila in Sirajganj district on Thursday.
The arrested were identified as Moyazzem Hossain, 50, Mishat, 26, Mukta Sarker, 30, Abdul Latif, 42, Chand Mia, 55, Sobahan, 60 and Alam 42.They are the residents of different districts in the country.
Confirming the matter, Shahjadpur Police Station officer-in-charge Aslam Ali said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted drives at different areas in the upazila and arrested them.
Police also recovered a machete and rope from their possessions.
They were sent to jail after producing them before a court in the district, the OC added.
