Two men and a newborn baby were found dead in separate incidents in three districts - Natore, Sherpur and Manikganj.
NATORE: Police recovered the blood-stained body of a young man from a corn field in Sadar Upazila of the district on Monday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
It was known that locals spotted the body of the youth lying on a corn field in Nabinagar Bhedrarbeel near the town in the morning and informed the police.
Being informed, police rushed to the scene and recovered the body.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Natore Sadar Police Station (PS) Mahbur Rahman confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and trying to identify the deceased.
NALITABARI, SHERPUR: Police recovered the floating body of a newborn baby from the Bhogai River in Nalitabari Upazila of the district on Sunday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
According to police sources, locals spotted the body of the newborn floating in the river in Gobindanagar area in the morning and informed the matter to the police.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Sherpur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Nalitabari PS OC Sohel Rana confirmed the incident, saying that this is an immature newborn body and it might have been thrown into the river out of fear of losing their dignity through abortion.
However, necessary steps would be taken in this connection, the OC added.
SINGAIR, MANIKGANJ: Police recovered the body of a man from beside of the Hemayetpur-Singair-Manikganj regional highway in Singair Upazila of the district on Saturday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Police sources said that locals spotted the body lying beside the regional highway in Medulia area under Dhalla Union of the upazila in the morning and informed the matter to the police.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Manikganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police assumed that the person might have been killed after being hit by any vehicle at night.
Singair PS OC JOM Taufik Azam confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are trying to identify the deceased.
