Iran's foreign ministry strongly rejected media reports on Monday that accused the country of being involved in the recent violence in Syria, which has resulted in hundreds of deaths.

Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei dismissed the claims as "completely ridiculous," stating that blaming Iran and its allies was a "wrongly addressed, deviant trend," and emphasized that the accusations were "a hundred percent misleading."
The comments came during a weekly press briefing, where Baqaei reiterated Iran's stance on the matter.
