20 people shot, injured in Sunamganj clash over land

At least 20 people, including 15 people shot, were injured in a clash between two parties over a land dispute in Sunamganj's Derai upazila.

The clash took place at Banabhoomi village of the upazila on Sunday (March 9) afternoon, during an argument between former chairman Lutfur and freedom fighter Ashiq.

At one point during the argument, the two sides clashed with domestic weapons. At that time, the former chairman's supporters opened fire with illegal weapons, injuring 15 people.

Derai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Razzak said that the situation is under control. There was a clash between two parties over land. About 15 people were shot.
