Fire breaks out at Gazipur aluminium factory

A fire broke out at an aluminium factory in Gazipur on Saturday evening.

The fire originated around 6 PM at Eltek Aluminium Factory near the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) gate in Gazipur's Shimultali area.

Being informed, six fire service units rushed there and started fighting to bring the blaze under control, confirmed Rubel Rana, duty officer of Joydebpur Fire Service Station.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined, he said.

However, no casualties have been reported so far.
