Couple held with drugs in Sirajganj

Police on Thursday arrested a couple along with drugs from Dariapur village of Shahajadpur upazila in Sirajganj.

The arrested were identified as Shagar Ali, 42, and his wife Lucky Khatun, resident of the same village in the upazila.

Confirming the matter, Shahjadpur Police Station officer-in-charge Asgar Ali said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested them.
Police also recovered Yaba pills and cash money from their possessions.

A case was filed against them with the police station under Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
