Shajahan Khan seeks 'doa' to participate in next general elections

Former shipping minister and Awami League presidium member Shajahan Khan has sought doa to participate in the next general elections.

He also commented that he is safe from criminals inside prison.

The former minister said these before producing him a court on Wednesday for hearing to show him arrested in a Jatrabari murder case related to the July uprising. He was found wearing bulletproof jacket, helmet and handcuff.

Before entering the court, a reporter asked him how is he, then he replied, "Well as per your prayer. Pray for me." The reporter then asked, "What should I pray."

Shajahan Khan said, "Pray for my early release to restore peace in the country and how to participate in the next elections. Pray for all these things."
