Man killed in Sirajganj road mishap

A man was killed in a road accident as a three-wheeler, locally known as Nasimon, fell into a road side ditch in Munshiganj's Sirajdikhan upazila on Sunday.

The accident took place around 11:30 AM at Gayatola area in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Arif 30, son of Abdul Mazid, a resident of Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha.

Confirming the matter, Sirajdikhan Police Station officer-in-charge Shahed Al Mamun said that a brick kiln laden Nasimon was heading to Sirajdikhan. When the Nasimon reached at Gayatola and fell into a roadside ditch after losing its control over the steering, leaving the Nasimon helper dead on the spot.

Locals recovered the body from under the wheels of the Nasimon and informed police.

Being informed, a team of police recovered the body and brought it to police custody, the OC said, adding that the process of filing a case in this regard was underway.
