National Voters' Day observed in Rangamati

The National Voters' Day was observed in Rangamati district through various programs on Sunday.

The day was inaugurated by releasing balloons and pigeons in the morning at Bhedbhedi Senior District Election Office in the town.
Later, a discussion was held and smart cards were distributed on the occasion of the day.

Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah was the chief guest at the smart card distribution ceremony. Senior District Election Officer Md. Shafiqul Rahman, Rangamati Sadar Upazila Election Officer Md. Jamshedul Islam Sikder were also present at the programme.

At the discussion, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah said that the process of citizens becoming voters is ongoing for voter registration. Those who will be excluded from this update process will be able to apply online and become voters by coming to the election office.

Senior District Election Officer Md Shafiqul Rahman highlighted the importance of National Voters Day in his speech. He also urged new voters to be aware of registering and exercising their voting rights.
