Nayanagar United champion in Football 

 
Nayanagar United became champion of the Narayanganj Nurul Islam Memorial Library Football Tournament beating Nurul Islam Memorial Library team 1-0 in the final at the playground of Piyar Sattar Latif High School at Kallyandi in Narayanganj on Friday. 

Hasan of the Nayanagar team scored the match-winning goal in the fifth minute of the match. An all-out defense show from the winners restricted the opponent from scoring throughout the match. 

The winning team received a 32-inch TV, while the runner-up team earned a 24-inch TV. Hasan, who scored in the last match, was named man of the match.

As the chief guest, Mortuza Shariful Islam, Additional Commissioner of Taxes of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), distributed the prizes to the winners.

Special guests at the award ceremony were Assistant Commissioner of Taxes Jahirul Islam Khan, Narayanganj Bandar labour leader Pappu Khan, and notable sports organiser and journalist Morsalin Ahmed.

Mostafa Saiful Islam Badal, president of the Narayanganj Nurul Islam Memorial Library, presided over the programme.
A total of 20 teams from Narayanganj district participated in the tournament.
