Operation Devil Hunt: 618 more held in 24 hrs

Joint forces have arrested 618 more across the country during nationwide ongoing Operation Devil Hunt in last 24 hours.

A press release issued by Police Headquarter (Media and Public Relations) confirmed the detentions on Friday.

With the latest figure, a total of 12,231 suspects were taken into custody since the crackdown began on 8 February following an attack on the students and people in Gazipur district.

On the 21th day of the crackdown, a total of 1414 persons were apprehended.

Of them, 618 were netted under the 'Operation Devil Hunt' and 796 others for previous cases and warrants.

During the operation, the forces seized one LG, one cartridge and several matches.
