Operation Devil Hunt: 743 more held in 24 hrs

Joint forces have arrested 743 more across the country during nationwide ongoing Operation Devil Hunt in last 24 hours.

A press release issued by Police Headquarter (Media and Public Relations) confirmed the detentions on Thursday.

With the latest figure, a total of 11,613 suspects were taken into custody since the crackdown began on 8 February following an attack on the students and people in Gazipur district.

On the 20th day of the crackdown, a total of 1657 persons were apprehended.

Of them, 743 were netted under the 'Operation Devil Hunt' and 914 others for previous cases and warrants.

During the operation, the forces seized one shutter gun, one cartridge and sharp machetes during the operation.
