Stock Markets show mixed trends: DSE rises, CSE declines in early trading

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a positive trend, with its key index rising, while the Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced a decline on the final trading day of the week. 

On Thursday, the DSE's benchmark index, DSEX, gained 5 points at the start of trading. The Shariah-based DSES increased by 1 point, but the blue-chip DS30 index fell by 11 points. 

Most listed companies saw their share prices rise, with 231 companies gaining, 68 losing, and 73 remaining unchanged. In the first hour of trading, DSE's total turnover exceeded Tk 130 crore.

On the other hand, the overall index at the CSE dropped by 13 points. Of the 70 companies traded, 40 saw price increases, 19 experienced losses, and 11 remained steady. The CSE recorded a turnover of over Tk 73 lakh during the first hour of trading.
