Operation Devil Hunt: 678 more held in 24 hrs

Joint forces have arrested 678 more across the country during nationwide ongoing Operation Devil Hunt in last 24 hours.

A press release issued by Police Headquarter (Media and Public Relations) confirmed the detentions on Wednesday.

With the latest figure, the number of total arrest rose to 10,870 under the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ since the operation begun on February 8 last following a attack on the student-people in Gazipur.

The joint forces arrested 1690 criminals from across the country in the last 24 hours
till today noon.

Of them, 678 were arrested under the operation while 1012 others on previous cases and warrants.

They also seized one 4.5mm pistol, one LG, one shutter gun, locally made single barrel gun, one magazine, seven magazines, one bullet of rifle and seven sharp machetes in the last 24 hours.
