2 including BCL leader held in Natore

Police arrested two individuals including a banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader from different places in Natore’s Singra upazila on Wednesday.

They were arrested from Joynagar and Tajpur areas in the upazila.
The arrested were identified as Singra upazila BCL unit leader Abu Sayeed Saz, a resident of Joynagar in the upazila, and the upazila Jubo League general-secretary Badal Hossain.

Confirming the matter, Singra Police Station officer-in-charge Asmaul Haque said that two teams of police, acting on a tip off, conducted drives in the areas and arrested them.

They were shown arrested as part of the nationwide Operation Devil Hunt, the OC added.
