A total 33 joint secretaries (JS), who served as deputy commissioner (DC) during the 2018 national election, have been made officer on special duty and closed to the Public Administration Ministry.
The Public Administra-tion Ministry on Wednesday issued separate notifications in this regards.
Earlier, 12 more polls time DCs in 2018 were made OSD.
According to the Public Administration Ministry sources, these DCs had served as the returning officer during the most controversial elections.
According to allegations, the ruling party supporters have voted mostly in the December 30, 2018 election at midnight.
The joint secretaries (JSs) are- Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation's Director Kabir Mahmud, Biman Bangladesh Airlines' Directors Mahmudul Alam and Hayat-Ud-Doula Khan, Barishal Regional Director of the Department of Technical Education Abul Fajal Mir, Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation's Member-Director Moyeen Ul Islam, Bangladesh Food Safety Authority Members Md. Wahiduzzaman and Mahmudul Kabir Murad, Food Ministry's JS AKM Mamunur Rashid, Internal Resources Division's JS SM Abdul Kader, Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board's Member Dr KM Kamruzzaman Selim, Shipping Ministry's JS Kazi Abu Taher, Department of Technical Education Director Mizanur Rahman, Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakkha Member Mohammad Abdul Ahad, Cabinet Division's JS Anar Koli Mahbub, Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission's Member Syeda Farhana Kaunain, Commerce Ministry's JS Mohammad Daudul Islam, Industries Ministry JS Majedur Rahman Khan, Expatriate Welfare Ministry JS AZM Nurul Haque, Bangladesh Rubber Board Director SM Azior Rahman, Dhaka North City Corporation's Secretary Masud Alam Siddque, Road Transport and Highways Division JS Gopal Chandra Das, Department of Disaster Management Director Motiul Alam Chowdhury, Agriculture Ministry's JS Dr Sabina Yeasmin, Department of Primary Education Director Dr Md Ataul Gani, Social Welfare Ministry's JS Abu Ali Md. Sazzad Hossain, JS Kazi Emdadul Islam, Shipping Ministry's SM Mostafa Kamal, Disaster Management Ministry's JS Anjan Chandra Pal, Planning Division Joint Chief Mosa. Sultana Parvin, Project Director of Kishoreganj's Mithamoin-Karimganj Flyover Construction Sarwar Morshed Chowdhury, National Social Welfare Council's Executive Secretary Shahidul Islam, Cultural Affairs Ministry JS Mohammad Helal Hossain and Finbancial Institutions Division JS Md. But, no reason for making them OSD was mentioned in the notifications.
According to the ministry sources, rest of the 2018 polls time DCs would also be made OSD soon.
