The number of automatically issued certificates, licenses and permits (CLP) from Bangladesh Single Window (BSW) system being implemented by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has already crossed one lakh.
As a partner of this initiative the NBR congratulated Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), Directorate of Drug Administration (DGDA) and Directorate of Explosives (DOEX), Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
Besides, Bangladesh National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (BNACWC), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) and Department of Environment (DoE) on the success last month, said a press release. The NBR made a soft launching of the BSW on January 2, 2025, bringing seven customs agencies under one system, in a bid to ease the import and export processes for businesses.
The project, which was undertaken in 2017, aims at streamlining trade operations by ultimately combining the activities of 19 agencies related to customs under one system.
The NBR has also expected that the remaining 12 agencies will be able to provide CLP through the BSW system for customs clearance of import and export goods soon.
