Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee, has expressed concerns over the neutrality of the caretaker government, stating that doubts have arisen among the public regarding its impartiality.

He made these remarks while addressing a rally organized by the Noakhali District BNP on Wednesday afternoon.
Khasru stated, "The statements and actions of the government's advisors suggest they are leaning towards a particular side. If this is the case, they will lose all credibility in the eyes of the people of Bangladesh. And if they lose credibility, everyone knows what the consequences will be."

He further emphasized the need for democratic governance, saying, "After Sheikh Hasina's departure, we must learn our lesson. In the future, no one will have the right to govern this country without being democratically elected. To lead the nation, one must understand the sentiments of the people and be elected through a fair electoral process. The aspirations of the people have been ignited, and the BNP is committed to fulfilling these aspirations. We must bring change to a new Bangladesh."

Khasru highlighted the role of the caretaker government, stating, "After Sheikh Hasina's departure, a caretaker government was formed with everyone's consent. We supported it because there was a need for an interim administration to restore the democratic process. Their responsibility is to ensure a peaceful transition of power through elections. This is why we supported this government. The people want to elect their own government through voting. Those who are accountable to the people and answerable to them will be elected to form the government."

The rally, chaired by Noakhali District BNP Convener Mahbub Alamgir Alo and moderated by Member Secretary Harunur Rashid Azad, featured speeches by BNP Vice Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu as the chief guest. Other notable speakers included BNP Chairperson's Advisor Zainul Abedin Farooq, Barrister A.M. Mahbub Uddin Khokon, BNP Chittagong Division Organizing Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Shamim, and Joint Convener of Noakhali District BNP Advocate ABM Zakaria, among others.
