Missing child’s body found in Khulna

Locals recovered the body of a child, who had been missing for the last three days, from the Chitra River at Terokhada upazila in Khulna district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Sayad Ibn Huzaifa, 4, son of Abdullah sheikh and a resident of Atlia area in the upazila. He was a student of a local madrasha.
According to deceased’s family members, Huzaifa went missing from a waz mahfil at Parkhali area on February 16. They started searching for him in different places. But he was not found anywhere.

For the past few days, posts have been made on various social media platforms seeking the missing child.

Three days after the incident, locals found a floating body in the Chitra River on Wednesday.

Later, locals recovered the body from the river.

Terokhada Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mehedi Hasan confirmed the death and said that the body has been handed over to his relatives after the legal procedures.
