ACC seizes 2 sacks of documents on former IGP’s alleged illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has seized two bags containing confidential documents related to alleged illegal wealth of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque from a relative’s residence.

According to ACC Public Relations Officer Md Akhtarul Islam, the recovered documents detail movable and immovable assets worth crores of taka.

A five-member ACC team, led by Assistant Director Rakibul Hayat, conducted the search operation from midnight until early Wednesday morning.

During the raid, the team discovered 48 documents of 38 different types stored in the two bags.
The seized materials include property deeds, confidential agreements, deeds of agreement, power of attorney papers, bonds, fixed deposit receipts (FDRs), offer letters, and bank account statements.
