ASI held with hemp in Gaibandha

Anisur Rahman, a duty Assistant Sub-Inspector of Palashbari Police Station in Gaibandha, has been arrested with hemp from Gobindaganj upazila in the district.

He was arrested from Charmatha intersection area of Gobindaganj municipality on Tuesday (February 18).

Confirming the matter, Palashbari Police Station officer-in-charge Julfikar Ali Bhuttu said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, waylaid a Bogura bound Apache 160 CC motorcycle (Dhaka Metro L-49-4918) and arrested Anisur along with 9.5 kilograms of hemp from his possession.
Police informed of the matter to high officials regarding the matter after filing a case against Anisur with Gobinaganj police station, the OC added.
