Popular South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has once again found herself at the center of controversy. While she often makes headlines for her films and rumored relationships, this time, she is facing criticism from netizens over her recent comments.

During a promotional event for her upcoming movie Chaaba in Hyderabad, Rashmika stated, “I am actually a Hyderabad girl. I entered the industry alone without anyone’s help, and I hope that today I am a part of your family.”
Her remarks were met with applause from the Hyderabad audience, but they didn’t sit well with her Kannada fans. Many took to social media to express their disappointment, accusing her of disregarding her roots.

A viral clip of the event sparked backlash, with one user commenting, “Did she just change her birthplace for the sake of a film?” Another critic wrote, “How selfish do you have to be to change your identity for career gains?”

Despite the ongoing criticism, Rashmika has yet to respond to the controversy.
