Polling launched to recognize best airlines operating in Bangladesh

An online poll to recognise the best airlines operating in Bangladesh has been launched. ShareTrip-Monitor Airline of the Year 2024 will recognise airlines' service excellence in twenty-four categories.

The Bangladesh Monitor is organising the only airline reward programme in the country. The leading online travel agency, ShareTrip, supports the program as the title sponsor, says a press release.

Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of Bangladesh Monitor, and Sadia Haque, co-founder and CEO of ShareTrip, recently signed a title sponsorship agreement in Dhaka. Kashef Rahman, founder of ShareTrip, and Mofassal Aziz, Head of Brand Communication, Media, and PR, were present, among others.

ShareTrip, as the title sponsor, will extensively promote the poll among potential voters and extend necessary support to The Bangladesh Monitor in organising the poll and hosting the gala award ceremony.

Individuals undertaking at least four air trips during 2024 can join the poll.

The categories are - Best Business Class, Best Economy Class, Best In-?ight Entertainment, Best In-?ight Meal In Business Class, Best In-flight Meal in Economy Class, Best In-flight Service (Economy Class), Best In-flight Service (Business Class), Best Loyalty (Frequent Flyer) Program, Best Overall Customer Experience, Best Airport Lounge (Bangladesh), Best Improved Airlines (compared to 2023), Top 10 most popular airline brands in Bangladesh, Best Airport Services, Best Freight Forwarder and Logistics Service Providers, Best Regional Airline, Best Long-haul Airline, Best Budget Airline, Cargo Airline of the year, Airline of the year.

Besides, there are four separate categories reserved for domestic airlines: Best on-time Performance, Most Customer-Friendly Airline, Best In-flight service, and Domestic Airline of the Year.

The poll's results will be formally announced at a gala award ceremony at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka in May 2025. A high-profile jury comprising representatives from different social and professional groups will select the winners based on the poll's results.

Airline of the Year is the Bangladesh Monitor's flagship event. The programme was introduced in 2007 and has been organised regularly since then.
