“Those martyred in the July uprising will receive certificates and identity cards, the injured ones will receive identity cards as 'July Warriors' and they will also be entitled to other government benefits,” Liberation War Affairs Adviser Farooq-e-Azam told media on Monday, reports UNB.
He was talking to reporters on the second day of the Deputy Commissioners' Conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.
"The process of forming the July Directorate is at its final stage. It will be established within this week, and a policy has already been formulated for its operation," said the adviser.
"Families of the martyrs will receive Tk 30 lakh through savings certificates. Tk 10 lakh will be provided in the current fiscal year and the rest in the next fiscal year," Farooq-e-Azam said.
