The spokesmen of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (ADSM) on Monday said that they have decided to form a new students' political party soon and procedures of building the party will began Tuesday through online and offline campaigns, reports BSS.
They declared this at a press conference held in front of the Madhur Canteen of the Dhaka University Monday afternoon where the key coordinators of ADSM present.
Coordinator Abdul Kader told BSS that ADSM is an umbrella organization where the common students, and activists and leaders from other political parties came together for the greater interest of the country's wellbeing and to extract the fascist government from the power.
"After the revolution, the activists of the political organizations returned to their places, but those who didn't have any political identity, have nowhere to return," he said, adding, "we have decided to form a centrist political party for those who want to do politics and continue with us. The committee would be declared within a week."
The press conference was joined by Abu Baker Majumder, Rifat Rashid, Hasib Al Islam, Tahmid Al Mudassir, Abdullah Saleheen Ayon and Jahid Ahsan, among others.
