Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Rahmat Ullah has been withdrawn due to his alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

The police headquarters took this decision after a national daily published a report on Sunday regarding his alleged involvement in selling 350,000 Yaba pills in Cox's Bazar.

In an order, signed by Police Headquarters DIG (Administration) Kazi Md. Fazal Karim, SP Rahmat Ullah has been asked to report to the police headquarters on February 18 after assigning the responsibility to the next senior officer of the district police.
