5 killed, 10 injured in Feni road accident

At least five people were killed and ten others injured in a road accident in Feni district on Monday evening.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Hafezia area in the district around 7:00 PM.

The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter, Harunur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Mahipal Highway Police Station, said that a pickup van, carrying workers was heading to Feni. A speedy covered van, coming from the opposite direction, hit the pickup van, leaving five people dead and ten others injured.

Locals rescued the injured and took them to Feni General Hospital for treatment.
